A self-study transportation system based on artificial intelligence control may become a convenient target for high-tech terrorist attacks. Terrorists' control of big city traffic management systems can cause many casualties. Commercial systems can be used to deploy unmanned aerial vehicles or autonomous vehicles, transport explosives and create accidents. A series of major disasters can cause international sensation and cause major damage to psychological safety.

In the face of this new situation, researchers from the Russian Academy of National Economy and State Administration and the Foreign Affairs Institute of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs have authored the book "Terrorism and Advanced Technology in Information and Psychological Confrontation: New Risks, New Opportunities to Terrorist Threats" . The book systematically analyzes the role of artificial intelligence in the security field. It also includes scenario analysis methods, historical analogies, and case studies. Researchers from 11 countries participated in the preparation.
