Amazon's Kindle team was sent to build the new crown Test Lab

(original title: Amazon's Kindle and echo team now working on the company's covid-19 testing project)


Netease technology news on May 26, according to foreign media reports, lab126, Amazon's hardware business subsidiary in charge of Kindle e-readers and echo smart speakers, is hiring engineers to help the company implement a covid-19 test plan.

So far, Amazon has reached an agreement with the relevant laboratories dealing with nose swabs and saliva samples to test its employees for the new coronavirus. But Amazon's ultimate goal is to build a strong test network with a central test center, which new hires will use to help build.


As a subsidiary of Amazon, lab126 was founded in 2004. Its original product is the best-selling Kindle series. In the latest outbreak of the new crown, lab126's mission is to help ensure the safety of Amazon's warehouse delivery center employees. Now its new task will be to support the implementation of Amazon covid-19 test plan.


Lab126 is located in Silicon Valley in Sunnyvale, California. According to media reports, the new position for lab126 will be located in Hebron, Kentucky, near Amazon's main air transport center, where Amazon plans to build its own largest testing laboratory. (Tianmen Mountain)
